Welcome back Obsassenachs! After a couple months away I’m ready to tackle 407: “Down The Rabbit Hole.” Join me as I discuss my opinions on seeing Frank and Laoghaire’s points of view on our favorite set of soul mates (i.e. Jamie and Claire). I also chat about Frank and Bree’s relationship, and Roger’s sea voyage under the unhinged eye of one Stephen Bonnet. This episode of Outlander was a controversial one and I speak to why I think that is as well. It’s book readers versus show watchers, and I’m sure sparks will fly in this heated debate.

Greetings Obsassenachs! This week on The Sassenach Files I’m talking 405: “Savages”. Come on a journey with me as I discuss the Mueller family’s distrust of the Cherokee and how that not only led to their downfall, but also furthered the bad reputation of an already misunderstood people. I also chat about the adaptation that stirred the fandom to take sides -- The Return of Murtagh. In this episode I dive into what I like and dislike about this major departure from the books and what that divergence meant for some of the newer characters on the scene. Also catch me making references to my favorite sitcoms along the way ;)

Welcome back for another episode of The Sassenach Files! This week I’m breaking down 403: “The False Bride”. I dive deep into Roger and Brianna’s complex motivations and emotions surrounding the catastrophic proposal, and why their communication skills (or lack there of) were the straws that broke the camel’s back. I also chat about some of the neat creative choices made by the production and post production crews to portray the parallel timelines in this episode, as well as Jamie and Claire’s decision to take Governor Tryon's offer and the critical plot points that led them to that choice. Enjoy :)

Greetings Listeners! This week on The Sassenach Files, I’m talking 402 of Outlander: “Do No Harm”. Join me as I chat about the newest MacKenzie to appear on screen — Jocasta Cameron and how she fits the mold her older siblings created to perfection. I also speak to the atrocities of slavery in the American Colonies and how seeing those circumstances unfold onscreen opened my eyes significantly to how systemic the practice of slavery was in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Hey listeners! Welcome back for another episode of The Sassenach Files! This week, I’m breaking down the season three finale: “Eye of The Storm”. This episode was brimming with loose ends in need of tying up, and Matt Roberts and Toni Graphia certainly delivered. Join me as I chat about a little bit of everything including Geillis’s unhinged demeanor, Lord John Grey’s ROCKSTAR status, and how completely blissful it was to see Jamie and Claire in a moment of carefree happiness before all hell broke loose. Thirteen weeks of analysis has all boiled down to this, and you may want to bring a life preserver. The seas are about to get rough.
