This week on The Sassenach Files, I’m here to discuss 506: “Better to Marry than Burn”. Join me as I chat about the three main couples in this episode. Roger and Brianna take a giant leap toward finding their place in the 18th century. Welcome back to another episode of The Sassenach Files. This week I’m chatting about 505: “Perpetual Adoration”. The concept of time and space is on full display this week as I ponder the idea of a “butterfly effect” rippling down through the ages to impact the past, present, and future. Come along for the ride as I discuss how the writers play with the idea of these time ripples. I also chat about the complex morality of Lieutenant Knox’s murder, the growth of Roger and Brianna’s marriage, and how the character of Graham Menzies served as a catalyst for the show as we know it.

Come along as I chat about the family’s bipolar tendency toward mercy and judgement along with the key differences between Lionel and Richard Brown – who remind me a wee bit of Colum and Dougal MacKenzie.
